About Me

I am an enthusiastic instructor with 15+ years of experience and a masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction ready to take on a career in Instructional Design.

I design instruction to meet goals.

Over 15 years ago, I entered the education world with a passion to help struggling learners understand concepts and meet goals in innovative ways. I have used a variety of instructional techniques that honor the diverse learners I have worked with. My zeal for creating meaningful instruction has led me to pursue a career in instructional design.

I am a lifelong learner and have immersed myself in the instructional design world over the last year. After training in instructional design and Articulate 360, I am excited to join a team creating exceptional training. My ideal position would be one that would foster my drive to learn more while encouraging my creativity and energy.

What I Do

Designing and implementing customized instruction to meet the needs of users is my expertise.

Communicating effectively is one of my strongest skills. Whether it is with my team or other stakeholders, I prioritize communicating in a timely and professional manner to meet goals and ensure everyone is on the same page.

Organization is an important part of accomplishing goals. In the planning stage, I prioritize understanding the needs of stakeholders and providing deliverables that outline each part of the project.

My designs are user friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and engaging. I believe learning should be fun and engaging. My enthusiasm and knowledge of different learning styles helps me connect with diverse learners by designing instruction that meets the person’s current level of understanding.

My Experience

Innovative Quality Solutions (IQS)

Professional Cadre Member

My primary responsibilities include oversight of six schools in the areas of mission and curriculum. This is accomplished by communicating effectively with administrators and team members to schedule meetings, provide feedback, and facilitate meaningful conversations. I then organize and synthesize data to determine areas of strength and those that need improvement and deliver professional reports in a timely manner.

ISD 466

English Teacher

Working primarily in my district’s ALC and Night School Programs, I created and delivered curriculum that met the diverse needs of “at-risk” students. I kept learners engaged using a variety of instructional methods. Another strength of mine in this position was my ability to maintain positive relationships through communication with my department, other alternative-school staff, administration, guardians, and learners.

St. Cloud Area Schools

ELA/English Teacher

In the last 15 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life. My experiences have shaped me into a professional who values diversity and creating instructional opportunities that meet learner needs while also accomplishing goals.
